The DESIRE+ Collective

Community Care Agreement

Effective Date: Feb. 18th, 2026

The DESIRE+ Collective exists to create spaces rooted in dignity, safety, and mutual respect.
By participating in our gatherings, programs, circles, workshops, or online spaces, you agree to help uphold the following community commitments.

This agreement is about shared responsibility — not perfection.

1. Respect & Humanity First

We honor the lived experiences of all participants.

Please:

  • Speak from your own experience (“I” statements)

  • Avoid assumptions about identity or background

  • Allow space for multiple truths

  • Engage with curiosity rather than correction

We center care over debate.

2. Confidentiality & Privacy

Stories shared here stay here.

Participants agree to:

  • Not share another person’s story outside the space

  • Not identify participants publicly

  • Not screenshot, record, or photograph sessions

  • Ask consent before continuing conversations outside the space

We cannot guarantee confidentiality from every participant, but we expect collective integrity.

3. Participation Boundaries

You are always allowed to:

  • Pass on an activity

  • Turn your camera off briefly if overwhelmed

  • Step away for grounding

  • Share only what feels safe

Listening is participation.

4. Harm Reduction & Accountability

Impact matters more than intent.

If harm occurs:

  • We slow down

  • We acknowledge impact

  • We repair when possible

  • We continue learning

Repeated or harmful behavior that disrupts safety may result in removal from the space.

5. No Fixing, Saving, or Diagnosing

We are not here to therapize one another.

Please avoid:

  • Giving unsolicited advice

  • Interpreting others’ experiences

  • Correcting feelings

  • Offering clinical labels

Support looks like witnessing, not solving.

6. Technology & Presence (Virtual Spaces)

To help maintain connection and safety:

  • Join from a private or semi-private space when possible

  • Use headphones when available

  • Do not attend while driving or multitasking

  • Cameras may be requested for affinity spaces

7. Facilitator Role

Facilitators guide the space and maintain safety.
They may redirect conversations, pause discussion, or intervene if needed to protect participants.

8. Scope of Support

These spaces provide community support and education, not crisis or clinical services.

If you need immediate support:
Call or text 988 or contact local emergency services.

9. Shared Commitment

By remaining in the space, you agree to help co-create an environment of care, curiosity, accountability, and respect.

We build the space together.
