Terms of Service

Welcome to The DESIRE+ Collective (“Organization,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By accessing our website, registering for programs, attending events, making a donation, or participating in any services or activities, you agree to the following Terms of Service.

If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

1. Organizational Purpose

The DESIRE+ Collective is a nonprofit organization providing educational programming, community support spaces, advocacy initiatives, and wellness-based activities. Our offerings are educational and community-based in nature and are not medical, mental health, or crisis services.

Participation does not create a therapist-client, medical provider, or emergency support relationship.

If you are in crisis, contact 988 or local emergency services.

2. Eligibility & Community Participation

Participants agree to engage respectfully and contribute to a safe environment.

We reserve the right to remove or deny participation to anyone who:

  • Harasses or threatens others

  • Violates confidentiality

  • Engages in hate speech or discrimination

  • Disrupts community safety

  • Records others without consent

No refunds are required if removal occurs due to safety violations.

3. Payments, Donations, & Fees

Payments may include donations, event tickets, program fees, or sponsorships.

All payments are considered support for the mission of the Organization.

Unless otherwise stated:

  • Payments are non-refundable

  • Missed events are not transferable

  • Donations are charitable contributions

  • Chargebacks may result in account restriction

If an event is cancelled by the Organization, we may issue a refund or credit at our discretion.

4. Program Changes

We may modify:

  • Facilitators

  • Dates or times

  • Virtual or in-person format

  • Curriculum content

Such changes do not constitute breach of service.

5. Assumption of Risk

Participation may involve movement activities, emotional discussions, and personal reflection.

By participating, you acknowledge:

  • You are voluntarily participating

  • You are responsible for your own wellbeing

  • You may step away at any time

The Organization is not liable for physical, emotional, or financial outcomes related to participation.

6. Media & Photography Release

By attending events, you grant permission for the Organization to capture and use photos, video, audio, or written testimonials for educational, promotional, and archival purposes.

You may request exclusion in writing prior to the event.

7. Intellectual Property

All materials, workshops, handouts, recordings, and content are property of The DESIRE+ Collective.

Participants may not:

  • Reproduce materials

  • Record sessions

  • Distribute content

  • Teach our curriculum without permission

Materials are for personal use only.

8. Confidentiality Notice

Community spaces encourage privacy but cannot guarantee confidentiality from other participants.

Participants agree:

  • Not to share others’ personal stories

  • Not to identify participants publicly

  • Not to screenshot or record sessions

Violation may result in removal from programming.

9. External Links & Resources

We may share educational resources and referrals.
We are not responsible for third-party services or outcomes.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The DESIRE+ Collective and its facilitators, volunteers, and partners are not liable for any damages arising from participation in our programs, website use, or community engagement.

11. Indemnification

You agree to hold harmless The DESIRE+ Collective from claims arising from your participation, conduct, or misuse of materials.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued participation constitutes acceptance of revised terms.
